Ran by an enterprising south Asian team, appeared to have taken over several establishments in the area. I will start with the good: Courteous service by all staff, comfortable room and breakfast buffet with good quality ingredients in particular the bacon. The bad- The restaurant known as Emily’s something or other allegedly sells authentic Indian cuisine- this cannot be further from the truth. £25 for a tiny bowl of lamb curry, garlic naan smaller than the pope’s wee hat, came with 2 poppadoms size of an average areola each. This was not all, they had the cheek to hide a 10% “discretionary” service charge in amongst the items in the bill— SHAME ON YOU

Loved this! Fantastic room and en-suite. Both recently refurbished in a style in keeping with the age of the building. Excellent size and a comfy bed. The food is a mixture of traditional English and Indian. My wife and I had a couple of the speciality curries and they were superb. Breakfast was good as well. Lovely place with a fantastic atmosphere.

We went for the Indian food dishes but they offer other options. Daily specials are intersting and creative. Good quality food served in interesting old build that is also an Inn. Suggest making reservation as a popular place with traveller's.

A very nice place. Well furnished rooms well presented and welcoming. Easy parking and convenience of Indian /fusion eatery on site and small bar. We enjoyed our Indian meal which was well prepared and in good quantity. Breakfast was ok, but not great - could be improved by receiving a warmer welcome and explanation of arrangements and we found sausages and jams to be rather poor quality - this let down the whole experience. Also please don’t poach eggs in water with added vinegar - it spoils the taste and in fact vinegar does not help much with consistency! We would stay again.

We had two evening meals whilst staying in this area. All the food was good. A wide selection of Indian and other dishes. Excellent service from attentive and friendly staff. A little expensive. Better than the other local hotel which has gone up market.

Superfijne plek om te zijn! Echt een authentiek en uniek kleinschalig hotel. Het eten was heerlijk en het personeel was vriendelijk en hielpen graag en snel. Echt een aanrader voor iedereen die een leuke overnachting wil tussen tussen zelf geplande activiteiten.

We enjoyed a two night stay at the hotel. Breakfast had a nice range of food and a hot breakfast available to order. The room was quaint and had a real homely feel. Lovely features and decor. Would definitely stay again.
